Etsy Bags & Purses Showcase

It is Saturday the 19th and my work is being displayed in the Etsy Bags & Purses Showcase.
I am so excited about this. I am hoping others will take a look at my shop and possibly add me as a favorite for shopping in the future.

I should also add that I sold three of my designs this week! That made me smile :)

Inspiration

I opened my shop on Etsy and thought I would only make totes and purses. Well, that has changed. I will sew on a specific project and then I have another idea and start something new. Sometimes the new project is related to the last or it is completely new and unrelated. It is funny how that happens!

I will walk into a fabric store planning on buying a few yards of a fabric that I already have in mind. Then I start looking around at all the choices. Ideas start flowing and then I am stacking bolts of fabric on the cutting table. I continue to look through the store and continue to bring bolts of fabric to the cutting table.

The fabric stores are great sources of inspiration for me. I visit them at least once a week.

The start of

Okay, I finally did it. I started creating products to sell online. I chose to sell on Etsy.
I have been sewing totes, aprons and wristlets and they are now listed online needing homes. I have wanted to do this for a while and it did take me some time to try it.

Yesterday, I sewed a baby blanket. Yes, I am adding baby blankets, bibs, burp cloths and maybe some other items. It has been fun. I really enjoy the fabric shopping!

I have joined sites such as WeLoveEtsy & Indiepublic. I also started a MySpace site for DeAnne DeSigns.
